After studying the developing system of the town, I tried to design a building connecting with its surrounding urban environment. The project is a school complex with a central educative green house encouraging the young children to learn about nature and ecology.
THE URBAN PROJECT
The school complex and its public park are facing a river bank. The project is part of the “green line”, succession of green spaces crossing the city from one side to the other.
PROTECTION AND EDUCATION
The classrooms and common spaces revolve around an educative green house encouraging the kids to learn about ecological culture. The building communicates with its environment, by transparencies and views, but the principal concept remains the building enclosure, protecting the kids and making them more comfortable.
